- Artemis
- Greek Goddess of the hunt and moon (called Diana by the Romans). Daughter of Zeus and Leto, and sister to Apollo (a sun god). Artemis is a goddess of nature in its virgin and untamed form. Qualities Artemis represents are: Amazon * shamaness * blood mysteries * adventures * huntress * lover of the wilderness * lady of the beasts * protector of children. One of Laura's patron goddesses and is represented by Keh'lyr on her altar.
- Athena
- Pallas Athena, Greek Goddess of learning and civilization. Zeus had gotten titaness Metis with child and, fearing that she would bear him a son that would depose him, swallowed her whole. Later he experienced terrible headaches and finally Athena was born from his head, fully armed and ready for battle. Qualities Athena represent: education * city * culture * careerist * competitor * intellectual * dutiful daughter or rebel. One of Laura's patron goddesses, and considered by Laura to be patron of all male-female transsexuals, she is represented by Dr Beverley Crusher on Laura's altar.

- Cybele
- Great Goddess of charity and retribution.
- Demeter
- Greek Goddess of fertility and the seasons. Demeter was mother of Persephone and sister to Hestia. Also known as Ceres to the Romans.
- The Devil (a.k.a. Satan, Lucifer, et al)
- A mythic figure from Christian theology, as inspired by Set (Egyptian), Ahriman (Zorastrian) and The Horned God (Wicca/Celtic). The Devil is not normally worshipped or followed by Neo-pagans as such.
- Dukkering
- Rom for the act of telling fortunes.
- Dukkermengra
- Rom for a woman who dukkers for a living.
- Gallae
- Transgendered priestess of the goddess Cybele. Historically the gallae existed in ancient Greece and Rome. They tended the temples, but were also itinerants, touring the countryside and receiving alms in exchange for dancing, singing, music, and prophecies. Compare with Hijra and Semnotatoi.
- God
- A generalized (or specific) absolute force in the universe. Everyone has a different concept of god, if they have one at all. Wiccan believe in The God and The Goddess.
- God, The
- The supreme masculine principle of the universe.
- Goddess, The
- The supreme feminine principle of the universe. The Goddess is also represented in aspects by lesser feminine deities.
- Gorgi
- Rom Feminine version of Gorgo, meaning either foreigner or gentile (i.e. A non Gypsy).
- Hecate
- Triple Goddess of Witches. Hecate is queen of the underworld.
- Herstory
- 1) Interpretation of historical events from a feminist perspective. 2) History written by and for women, instead of by and for men.
- Hestia
- Greek Goddess of the home and hearth. Hestia was sister to Demeter, and was known to the Romans as Vesta. In Rome, Vestal Virgins tended the temple and the eternal flame, which was kept alive as a constant reminder of faith.
- Hijra
- Transgendered persons in India, considered to be a "third gender" by some. Hijras are followers of the goddess Bahuchara, and traditionally dance and sing at weddings and births celebrations. Reputed in folklore to have the power to bless or curse. Compare with Gallae.
- Iris
- Greek Goddess of the rainbow, Iris is also represented as Temperance in the Tarot Major Arcana. Iris was daughter of Thaumas the titan, and the marine goddess Electra. Messenger of the gods, particularly Zeus. Also devoted to Hera, acting almost as her lady's maid. Could be helpful to mortals. Wife of Zephyrus, the West Wind. She was equally at home in the sky, the earth and the sea. Even the underworld would open at her command. Iris represents: travel & communication * temperance * compassion * balance * love * action and intelligence in dealing with the flow of feelings. Iris is one of Laura's patron goddesses and is represented by Uhuru on her altar.

- An "organized team" that does God's Will without ever discovering what they are doing.
- Magic
- 1. Any process which is sufficiently technologically advanced not to be understood by a particular group of people; 2. A process of making requests to one's higher power by symbolic means; 3. Candle Magic: A system of making wishes by inscribing and burning candles.
- Patron Goddesses
- Goddess that personify particular qualities that are desired by their worshiper. Laura has four patron goddesses: Artemis, Athena, Iris, and Persephone. Together these form Laura's Inner Spiritual Circle.
- Persephone
- Greek Goddess of the underworld and mistress of the dead (also known as Kore). Persephone is the daughter of the Goddess Demeter. As she was playing one day (with Artemis and Athena, among others), Hades appeared and abducted her to the underworld. Demeter put a curse on the land so that no tree would grow until Persephone was returned. Hades released her, but not until after she had tasked seeds from a pomegranate. Because she had eaten of the death, she must return to the underworld for a period every year. Qualities Persephone represents: occult * medium * clairvoyance * visions * dreams * death and transformation * inner guide * healing * psychic power. Persephone is one of Laura's patron goddesses and is represented by Deanna Troi on her altar (Demeter is Lwaxana Troi).
- Pollychrome
- The name chosen by Laura to represent her Self. It is inspired by a character in the Oz books by the same name. In these books, Pollychrome is the most reckless of the daughters of the Rainbow. Her greatest joy is to dance and she often creates magic and solves problems by doing so. She is clad in flowing, fluffy robes of soft material that remind one of woven cobwebs, only coloured in soft tinting of violet, rose, topaz, olive, azure, and white, mingled together in stripes that melt into the other with soft blending. - Self
- The Original core of one's be-ing that cannot be contained within the State of Possession, living spirit/matter: the psyche that participates in Be-ing.
- self
- Any of the many false identities inflicted upon women under patriarchy (or The Con); the internalised possessor that covers and re-covers the Original Self.
- Semnotatoi
- Transgender priestesses of Hecate, circa classical greek and roman times. They are mostly reported to have participated in the temple choirs and looked after children. Compare with gallae.
- SkyClad
- The practice of performing pagan ceremonials naked in the belief that clothing impedes the release of powers from within.
- Spinster
- A woman whose occupation is to Spin, to participate in the whirling movement of creation; one who has chosen her Self, who defines her Self by choice neither in relation to children nor to men; one who is Self-identified; a whirling dervish, Spiraling in New Time/Space.
- Tarot
- Set of cards (generally 78) used for divination and self analysis. A Tarot deck is divided in two groups: a major and minor arcana. Each card represents an external event or internal focus for the querant.
- Trekker
- A Star Trek Fan. The diminutive version is "Trekkie".
- Webster
- A woman whose occupation is to Weave, especially a Weaver of Words and Word-Webs.
- Wiccan
- A follower of neo-paganism and the tenets of Wicca.
