I have been asked by "Jane" to remove this page, as it was "hindering her chances of employment". I have therefore removed this page, and deleted her surname from any references.
A brief summary is as follows.
Transgendered women are excluded from "women's space" on the basis that they can be "tested" and shown "not to be women". The requirements of such a test are that it should be : testable in everyday life; effective; repeatable; and objective.
A comprehensive list of proposed tests was given, and it was shown that none of these tests satified all of the above conditions. Hence, by intending to exclude transgendered women from "women's space", women may mistakenly discriminate against themselves.
