1. That on the first day of QC 2001 there is a discussion, in the form of a plenary session on the social and political aims of QC, the need for politicisation of "queer" and of QC specifically, and the way in which the queer movement can and ought work with other progressive movements.
  1. That there be a workshop as well as a plenary on the first day of each QC conference on feminism for womyn, and pro-feminism for men, to address key issues in womyn's oppression in the queer movement. That privileged womyn within the movement acknowledge the oppression of marginalised womyn within the movement.
  1. Censorship be limited to extreme circumstances (eg paedophilia, racism, sexism). Appeals should be voiced as early as possible (on receiving programme) not immediately before the event. That plenaries [sic] not be used as pedestals for party or factional politics.
  1. That QC 2000 recognises the importance of and necessity for direct action and grass roots activism when fighting progressive struggles.
  2. QC 2000 discourages the performance of negative derogatory belittling portrayals of womyn by men regardless of the theory behind them since they are insulting to many womyn.
  3. That QC acknowledges that the word "Queer" and the concept of "Queer Theory" are separate things. "Queer" being used as an UMBRELLA term for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and other self identifying "Queer" persons. And that Queer Theory is a method of deconstruction and analysis that MAY be used to challenge and strengthen the politic but should not be seen in and of itself as a political movement.
  4. That QC 2000 acknowledge that the term "homophobia" should be inclusive of biphobia and transphobia and that in instances when homophobia is discussed that biphobia and transphobia are specifically included in this discussion instead of being ignored. That QC 2000 acknowledge that transphobia and, to a lesser extent, biphobia, have been rampant at this conference. That QC 2001 implement grievance procedures for dealing with instances of transphobia and biphobia.
  5. That the "spirit" of QC is to promote an understanding of the material impact of oppression and to actively encourage the voices of marginalised groups.
